How to Contribute for a Friend

You can make a contribution on behalf of a friend or a family member. Not only will you be giving funds to a campaign that they may feel passionate about, but you can also sign them up to receive a Perk. His or her name will be displayed on the campaign page under the Funders tab for everyone to see.

You will be able to elect to make your contribution for someone else during the Share stage of the contribution process, right after you submit your payment information:

At the top of the screen, you'll see your Contribution Summary details. Next to your name and amount, select the "Change your visibility" link.
Select the fourth radio button, next to "Credited to another name:" and enter the name of the person you'd like to be attributed to your contribution.
If you'd like the amount to also show with your friend's name, check the box next to "Show the contribution amount"
Click the "SAVE CHANGES" button

Please note that any comments you make during the contribution process will be attributed to the name on your account or "Anonymous Commenter", not the name you are contributing on behalf of.

If you'd like to edit the name that shows up with your comment, you'll need to sign up for an Indiegogo account and edit your name in your account settings.
