Updates are a great way to keep in touch with your contributors and followers, especially when you include photos and videos!

To include images or videos in your Updates:

  • Go to your campaign home page
  • Click on the “Updates” tab
  • To add a video, select include “A Video” and paste the video URL in the “Link” field. To add an image file (e.g. PNG, JPG, or GIF), select include “An Image” and choose a file from your computer. To add a non-image file (e.g. PDF, MP3, or DOC), select include "A File" and choose a file from your computer. Make sure to add a file "Title" in the appropriate field.
  • Make sure to add text in the large text box above your media selection. You will not be able to post an Update without an announcement to go along with your media.
  • Click “Post an Update”

If you've included a static image, our system will automatically re-size it to fit in updates.

The optimal size for your Update Image is: 266 x 400 pixels.

  • If you upload an image that is larger or smaller, our system will automatically crop it to meet these specifications. This can distort the image.
  • If your image is pixelated and blurry, the original file is probably to small.
  • If you can only see part of the image, the original file is probably too large.

If your image is too large or too small, you can re-size your image using any basic graphics editor, such as Microsoft Paint.

All media included in Updates will be added to your Gallery. You can use Updates even after your campaign deadline. Please note that your "Updates" tab does not appear until after your campaign is "Live!"
