How to Claim a Perk

What are perks?

Many campaigns offer perks in exchange for different contribution amounts. Perks can be objects, acknowledgement, a thank you, services, events or anything that does not violate our Terms of Service.

Perks are listed on the right side of the Campaign Home page, under the Contribute Now button. If you do not see any perks listed, the campaign owner may have decided not to offer any perks. You will need to contribute at least the amount listed to claim the associated perk. Perks are offers made and managed solely by campaign owners.

How do I claim a perk?

Click on the Contribute Now button on any active campaign page to provide your contribution details and select your perk. If you see a particular perk on the campaign page that you're interested in, you can also click on the Claim This Perk button to pre-select your perk and continue with the contribution check out process. When will I receive my perk?

Receiving your perk(s) often takes time! Selecting a perk as a part of your contribution is not the same thing as buying something online. Perks may require much more than just money to develop, manufacture and distribute. Since campaign owners manage perks, we recommend contacting the campaign owner directly to find out the status of your perk. [Related Forum Article: How to Check on Your Perks]

How do I change my mailing address?

If you have already contributed to a campaign and need to change your mailing address, please contact the campaign owner directly with your updated information. [Related Forum Article: How to Contact the Campaign Owner]

How do I select my perk details (e.g. t-shirt size)?

If your perk asks for you to select an option, such as a t-shirt size or song download, please contact the campaign owner directly with your choice. [Related Forum Article: How to Contact the Campaign Owner]

Can I change my perk?

Each contribution made is recorded as a separate contribution with a separate perk. If you would like to receive a new perk, you can do this in a separate contribution.
