We're excited to announce that Indiegogo has entered into a long-term partnership with YouCaring. Through this partnership, Indiegogo's personal cause crowdfunding service, Generosity.com, as well as all charitable nonprofit campaigns will transition over to YouCaring and Indiegogo will become YouCaring's partner for entrepreneurial fundraising. Please read below for more info about this and how it affects your campaign.
I have an active nonprofit campaign. What will happen to it?
If your nonprofit campaign is currently live on Indiegogo, it will end on your deadline date or March 29, 2018, whichever date is earliest. If your campaign is currently or goes into InDemand, your page will close automatically on March 29th.
I have a draft campaign, can I still launch it?
After February 1, 2018, you will no longer be able to create new drafts for nonprofit or charitable causes. We strongly recommend any nonprofit campaigners currently working on their draft to start a new campaign on YouCaring. If you do decide to launch your campaign, keep in mind you must launch by February 28, 2018 and your page will close automatically on March 29th.
Will I still get the funds I've raised?
Can I run a campaign as a nonprofit on Indiegogo?
No. After February 28, 2018, you won't be able to launch a nonprofit campaign on Indiegogo. We encourage all charitable nonprofit campaigners to launch on YouCaring.
I'm not a nonprofit but I want to raise funds for one. Can I do that on Indiegogo?
Even if you don't work directly for a nonprofit, you won't be able to launch a campaign on behalf of one after February 28, 2018. Again, we strongly recommend launching a fundraiser on YouCaring instead.
Can I transfer my campaign story, backer list, amount raised, etc. to YouCaring?
You won't be able to transfer your current campaign data to a new fundraiser on YouCaring. However, you'll still have access to your campaign editing page, so you can save a copy of your text and any details you plan to use in the future.
