When a potential backer visits your campaign page, they may have questions that they want answered before backing your campaign. Only current backers can contact you directly or post in the comments tab. Having a thorough FAQ is an important way to give potential backers as much information as possible and help them decide to back your campaign.
You can find the FAQ section on the Content tab of your campaign editor, below your campaign story.
If you are just starting a new draft, you are required to complete this section before you can launch your campaign. If you are currently working on an existing draft, or if your campaign is already live, you aren't required to fill in this section, but you still have the option to use it.
Here are a few things to keep in mind when creating your FAQ:
- If you're launching a new product, include technical specifications and compatibility information
- Include realistic information about perk delivery timelines
- Be transparent about how the funds you raise will be used
- If you're a nonprofit, include information about when/if backers can expect a tax receipt
Your FAQ will appear in a separate tab from your story on your campaign page so if you want to draw attention to it, mention it in your story as well. Please note that below your custom text is a general Indiegogo FAQ for backers and this text cannot be removed or edited.
