What are Guaranteed Delivery Perks?
Guaranteed Delivery Perks are a way for entrepreneurs to offer specific perks that are ready for delivery, or close to delivery ("Guaranteed Delivery Perk"), to backers on Indiegogo. Guaranteed Delivery Perks are marked with a Guaranteed Delivery badge on a campaign. Backers can claim Guaranteed Delivery Perks with confidence because those perks have a Guaranteed Delivery Date. Campaigns participating in the program will receive a Guaranteed Delivery badge on the campaign page and on the Guaranteed Delivery Perk. They will also receive additional promotion on the Indiegogo website and in Indiegogo marketing channels as determined by Indiegogo.
How do I join the Guaranteed Delivery Perk program?
Currently, Guaranteed Delivery Perks is a pilot program, which means it's only open to a few campaigns. We'll have more information about how to apply when it becomes available to all qualified entrepreneurs.
How do I qualify for the Guaranteed Delivery Perk program?
Whether you're running a crowdfunding campaign for the first time, or in our InDemand program, your campaign must comply with the Guaranteed Delivery Terms and all the requirements below.
Requirements for crowdfunding campaigns to qualify for Guaranteed Delivery Perks:
- Your campaign complies with our Terms of Use, Community Guidelines, Guaranteed Delivery Terms, and all other policies
- If your campaign is Tech and Innovation (hardware campaign), it qualifies for the Production or Shipping stage. Please see the Product Stage article for more information
- You are able to deliver your Guaranteed Delivery Perk within six months of the end date of the campaign
- You must determine, and set, a maximum number of a Guaranteed Delivery Perk on your campaign
- You must ship 100% of the Guaranteed Delivery Perk to Indiegogo backers before you ship to customers on other platforms
- You must wait 2 business days after the contribution is made before shipping your Guaranteed Delivery Perk and be sure to include these two days when choosing your Guaranteed Delivery Date
- You must ship your Guaranteed Delivery Perk with an eligible carrier and provide valid tracking numbers to demonstrate on-time delivery
- You agree that 100% of all the funds raised from the entire campaign participating in the Guaranteed Delivery Perks program will be held until the tracking information that you provide to us demonstrates that at least 80% of the Guaranteed Delivery Perks claimed on the campaign have been delivered to backers by your listed Guaranteed Delivery Date
- You agree that once we have verified that 80% of the Guaranteed Delivery Perks have been delivered by your Guaranteed Delivery Date, you will receive a partial disbursement. At least 15% of the total funds raised will be held until all perks offered through your campaign have been delivered
- You agree to respond to comments in a timely manner and post monthly updates to keep backers informed about the status of your project
Requirements for InDemand Campaigns to qualify for Guaranteed Delivery:
- Your campaign complies with our Terms of Use, Community Guidelines, Guaranteed Delivery Terms, and all other policies
- If your campaign is Tech and Innovation (hardware campaign), it qualifies for the Shipping stage. Please see the Product Stage article for more information.
- You are able to deliver your Guaranteed Delivery Perk within twenty-four weeks of the date that a contributor backs your campaign
- You must determine and set a maximum number of a Guaranteed Delivery Perk on your campaign
- You must ship 100% of the Guaranteed Delivery Perk to Indiegogo backers before you ship to customers on other platforms
- You must wait 2 business days after the contribution is made before shipping your Guaranteed Delivery Perk and be sure to include these two days when choosing your Guaranteed Delivery Date
- You are shipping your Guaranteed Delivery Perk with an eligible carrier and will provide valid tracking numbers to demonstrate on-time delivery for each batch of shipments
- You agree that 100% of all the funds raised from the entire campaign participating in Guaranteed Delivery will be held until the tracking information that you provide to us demonstrates that at least 80% of the Guaranteed Delivery Perks claimed on the campaign have been delivered to backers by your listed Guaranteed Delivery Date
- You agree that once we have verified that 80% of the Guaranteed Delivery Perks have been delivered by your Guaranteed Delivery Date, you will receive a partial disbursement. At least 15% of the total funds raised will be held until all perks offered through your campaign have been delivered

How does it work?
Crowdfunding campaigns must guarantee delivery within six months from the date that the campaign ends ("Campaign Guaranteed Delivery Date"). We will hold 100% of the funds that you raised during your campaign. After your campaign ends, and once you've provided valid tracking information (see list of eligible carriers) to demonstrate that at least 80% of the Guaranteed Delivery Perks claimed on your campaign have been delivered, a portion of your funds will be disbursed. Please note that we will reserve at least 15% of the total funds raised for any refund requests or chargebacks. If a backer doesn't receive the Guaranteed Delivery Perk by the Guaranteed Delivery Date, and the tracking information does not show that the perk was delivered, the backer may request a full refund. Please note that our Refund Policy also applies.
InDemand campaigns must guarantee delivery for the Guaranteed Delivery Perk within a timeframe no later than twenty-four weeks from the date that a backer contributed to the campaign ("InDemand Guaranteed Delivery Date"). The backer must receive the perk on or before the InDemand Guaranteed Delivery Date. You are required to provide valid tracking information (see list of eligible carriers) for each Guaranteed Delivery Perk you ship. Once we have received valid tracking information that demonstrates that 80% of the Guaranteed Delivery Perks have been delivered, we will remit the funds you have raised in the prior month to you. We will reserve at least 15% of the funds raised to cover any claims or chargebacks we receive from each disbursement. Backers can request a refund after the InDemand Guaranteed Delivery Date if the provided tracking information shows that the Guaranteed Delivery Perk was not delivered. Please note that our Refund Policy also applies.
What shipping carriers can I use for delivery?
You may only use eligible carriers listed here to ship your Guaranteed Delivery Perks in order to ensure our team has delivery information on hand if we receive a claim. Once we receive a claim, we can then check the information listed on Easy Post to see the delivery status. If you do not use an eligible carrier and we're unable to view the tracking information, the backer will receive a refund if they submit a valid claim. What if I miss my perk delivery date?
If the Guaranteed Delivery Perk is not delivered by the applicable Guaranteed Delivery Date, and the tracking information you provided shows that the Guaranteed Delivery Perk was not delivered, your backers are eligible for a refund and you are financially responsible for such refunds and all our associated fees and costs up until the product is delivered. Please be aware that a backer can request a refund the day after the Guaranteed Delivery Date is missed.
If you know in advance that there will be a small delay in delivering your Guaranteed Delivery Perks, we strongly recommend that you post an update as soon as possible. For tips and best practices about writing updates, please see this article.
What if a backer files a claim after they have received their perk?
- For Crowdfunding Campaigns, if the tracking information that you provide to us proves that the Guaranteed Delivery Perk was delivered, the backer will not receive a refund
- For InDemand Campaigns, if the tracking information that you provide to us proves that the Guaranteed Delivery Perk was delivered, the backer will not receive a refund
If you do not provide us the tracking information from an eligible provider, the backer will receive a refund regardless of when the Guaranteed Delivery Perk was delivered and you will be held financially responsible for the refund and all our associated fees and costs.

Do all of my perks have to be guaranteed to deliver by the delivery date I choose?
No. Only those perks that you have established as a Guaranteed Delivery Perk must be guaranteed to deliver by the listed Guaranteed Delivery Date.
