What is Google Pay?
Backing a campaign has never been easier, safer, or more private. Your backers can use Indiegogo on Chrome via Android, iPhone, iPad, or Mac to back a campaign with Google Pay checkout.
How do I get Google Pay to work on my device?
Setup is simple. To use Google Pay, you need a supported bank card. If you want to use Google Pay with more than one device, you will need to sync your Google account to all of your devices using Chrome.
Please check out this guide for step-by-step guidance.
Is my credit card information secure?
Yes. As a security measure, the credit card details aren't actually stored on your device, or on Google's servers. The payment network or issuing bank will provide a Device Account Number, using a technique called tokenisation: replacing a sensitive piece of data with a random piece of data that typically has the same format. Tokenisation removes the need to update existing systems that require a credit-card number, without exposing the real number to theft.
Who can contribute through Google Pay?
On Indiegogo, you can use Google Pay on Chrome via Android and iOS devices.
Can backers from outside the US use Google Pay?
Google Pay works with most major credit and debit cards. See Google Pay Support for more information.
Do I have to pay an extra fee if I use Google Pay?
No. Neither Google nor Indiegogo charge the backer or the campaigner an additional fee for using Google Pay. The regular payment processor and platform fees apply.
