What are perks?
Perks are listed on the right side of the Campaign page, under the "Back It" button. If you do not see any perks listed, the campaign owner may have decided not to offer any perks.
Please note: Perks are offers made and managed solely by campaign owners, not Indiegogo.
How do I claim a perk?
Review the list of perks on the right-side of the campaign page. When you see a particular perk on the campaign page that you're interested in, Click on the perk itself. This will have selected the perk for you to continue with the contribution check out process.
How to Donate with No Perk?
If you'd like to contribute to a campaign, without perks, you can simply click on the 'Back It' button. You’ll be able to enter the amount you'd like to contribute, and choose your payment method.
Please note that if you select the "Back It" button, you will only be donating funds to the campaigner, in the amount you enter. In this case, you will not have claimed a perk. If you intend to claim a perk, please be sure you choose the perk to go along with the transaction, before you complete your payment.
When will I receive my perk?
Receiving your perk(s) often takes time! Selecting a perk as a part of your contribution is not the same thing as buying something online. Perks may require much more than just money to develop, manufacture and distribute. Since campaign owners manage perks, we recommend contacting the campaign owner directly to find out the status of your perk.
How do I change my shipping information?
If you have already contributed to a campaign and need to change your mailing address or phone number, you can do so on your Order Details page. Provided the perk hasn't been marked by the campaign owner as "Fulfilled" or "Order Locked," you will be able to change the address and/or phone number associated with your contribution. If a perk has been marked by the campaign owner as "Order Locked," you will not be able to change your address on Indiegogo. "Order Locked" means that campaigner has locked your order as they've started to work on it. In this case, please contact the campaigner if you would like to change the details of this order - including editing your shipping address, or to request a refund.
How do I select my perk details (e.g. t-shirt size)?
If your perk asks for you to select an option, such as a t-shirt size or song download, please contact the campaign owner directly with your choice.
Note that many Campaigners plan to send out surveys to Backers, to allow them to select their choices. We recommend you read through the Campaign’s Story to see if the Campaigner has outlined how they’ll be collecting Perk Preferences from Backers.
Can I change my perk?
Each contribution made is recorded as a separate contribution with a separate perk. If you would like to receive a new perk, you can do this in a separate contribution. If you'd like to upgrade your existing perk or select a different perk, please contact the campaign owner.
Can I claim multiple perks?
It's exciting to hear that you've found multiple perks you are interested in claiming! Please note, at this time, we do not have a feature for you to be able to add multiple perks in a single transaction. As such, if you'd like to claim multiple perks, please make a new contribution for each perk.
Looking for a receipt or invoice for your transaction?
Indiegogo sends contribution confirmation emails to the email address used to make a contribution, for each successful transaction.
If you are looking for something more specific than this, please note perks are offers made and managed solely by the Campaign Owner. As such, Indiegogo does not provide receipts or invoices beyond the contribution confirmation email that you should have received after your transaction.
If you would like an official invoice or receipt for your transaction, we recommend contacting the campaign owner to see if they are issuing invoices or can create one for you.
